The Last Kingdom is the story of Alfred the Great, who defends his kingdom against Norse invasions. Uhtred-born Saxon, but raised later by Vikings, and seeks to claim his ancestral heritage.
The Last Kingdom Season 6 Story
Netflix will adapt Cornwell’s remaining books into movies instead of television episodes in place of Season 6 of The Last Kingdom. According to The Last Kingdom’s official twitter account, Seven Kings Must Die was shot on January 31.
The film will run for two hours and thirty minutes. Netflix says Seven Kings Must Die is based on the last three Saxon Stories novels War of the Wolf and Sword of Kings. All three books are currently in development.
At this point, no information has been made public about the performers. However, Alexander Dreymon is expected to reprise his role as Uhtred. Netflix has yet to confirm a release date, but the movie is expected to be in theatres by the second half of 2023.

The premiere date for Season 6 of The Last Kingdom is yet to be determined. It will air either in the first or second half of 2023 if Season 6 of The Last Kingdom has been confirmed.
